Old Settler’s Music Festival is a nationally known music festival featuring the best in roots and Americana music. The festival is held in the gorgeous Texas hill country, at the height of the Bluebonnet and wildflower season. Old Settler’s Music Festival offers great music and activities for the whole family.

The Festival is held at Salt Lick Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch, just minutes from Austin, located 11 miles south of Highway 290 West on Farm Road 1826.

Four Stages

Enjoy over two dozen bands on four stages as well as performance workshops, arts and crafts, kids’ activities, music store, and a youth talent competition. Thursday nights are special at Old Settler’s with a “Settle In” show on the Camp Ben stage from 4:30 to midnight. Friday afternoon features another bonus for campers — the Camp Ben Jam from noon to 4 pm at the Camp Ben Stage. Friday and Saturday, we move across the street to the Salt Lick Pavilion with three different stages operating from 4 pm to midnight on Friday and 11 am to midnight on Saturday. Sunday, back at Camp Ben, wake up to some “pickin & prayin” gospel, all around goodtime final show that begins at 10 am and closes around 5 pm. Campers can greet the morning with the yoga masters on Friday and Saturday mornings.

Performance Workshops

On Saturday, come see the masters teach their skills up close. Workshops free with purchase of a festival wristband. Times and locations to be announced.

Camping

Camping at the festival is a peak cultural experience all of its own. Camp Ben McCulloch rivals some of the most beautiful festival camping sites in the world according to our festival attendees. Get your feet wet at Onion Creek, catch up with friends, make new ones— and definately bring your instruments for some late night jams around the campfires. Bringing the family? No worries — we offer a family camping area..

Kids Activities

On Saturday morning, we unveil some of Central Texas’ new generation of musicians with our Youth Talent Competition. Kids have all kinds of fun with face painting, Art for Your Head, a petting zoo, pony rides, monster slide, inflatables, and a rock climbing wall. Campfire USA Balcones Council guides kids through whole range of kids’ activities. Children twelve and under get in free when accompanied by a paying adult. “Read More”:

Arts & Crafts

The festival has a huge art & crafts area with exceptional vendors of fine handmade items. There is a big music sales area with T-shirts, accessories, CDs, etc.

Food & Beverages

We always have an eclectic and healthy assortment of food & drinks offered by quality vendors. Beer & wine is available to those with proper ID. Breakfast concessions are available each morning in the camp ground.

Reserve your wristbands directly from the festival through a ticketless process. Tickets will also be on sale at Frontgate Tickets beginning February 1, 2009 through the day of the show at www.frontgatetickets.com and their outlets, or call 888-512-7469.
