2010 Lineup > Flyin' $ Bunkhouse Band
These friends found one another musically at River Bottom music fests at Bill McNeal’s Flying Dollar Ranch on the San Marcos River. Then featuring Bill, they formed Slaves of Utopia, filling his bunkhouse on weekends, both for practice and as home base as they played area gigs. Asked to play when Bill was unavailable, The Flying Dollar Bunkhouse Band formed. Founding members Davis “Korn Dog King” Ethridge (mandolin, vocals), Bobbie White Owl (guitar, vocals), Fletcher Clark (guitar), Randy Sulsar (upright bass), Julia Sulsar (vocals) are now joined by Beth Galiger (flute, fiddle, sax). Their originals and adaptations of some great standards enjoy frolicking renditions from a group whose only way is to have fun and make fun by being fun.
