February 2009 News
Hey Old Settlers Music Fans,
The line-up is almost complete! We have added more top notch acts to round out our amazing line-up for this year. We are excited that Robert Earl Keen makes his first appearance at Old Settlers this year. The Gourds are doing a Thursday ONLY set at the Campground Stage. If you have seen them before then you know what you’re in for and not to be missed which means you will need a four day ticket to catch them this year!
Returning after too long an absence from the great white north is Canadian singer/songwriter Fred Eaglesmith. Another Canadian act that just blew us away last year is returning Blackie and the Rodeo Kings.
In keeping with honoring our festival roots we of course have the bluegrass aspect of our festival covered with some of the hottest new acts as well as others that continue to define what traditional as well as progressive bluegrass is. Some include: The Greencards, Travelin McCoury’s, Blue Highway, and many more.
Don’t miss some of the best singer songwriters in the business today including former Blaster’s Dave Alvin and his Guilty Women. Local Favorites Ray Wylie Hubbard as well as up and coming Hayes Carll will play in addition to other great acts to numerous to mention.
We are still working on the details but the schedule with what days artists are playing is up! Be sure and get your tickets now. Early Bird Pricing expires on February 28th so get your tickets now.
We look forward to celebrating Old Settlers Music Festival with you this year!
