2010 Tickets On Sale Soon!
The nationally celebrated Old Settler’s Music Festival, which recently won an
Austin360.com A-List readers best of poll, will begin selling 2010 early-bird wristbands soon!
The 23rd annual roots-music festival will be held, rain or shine, from Tax Day,
Thursday, April 15, through Sunday, April 18, 2010.
More than 30 acts will perform on four stages in a beautiful setting just south of Austin, Texas at
the Salt Lick Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch on FM 1826, in the Texas Hill Country.
“We’re honored and pleased to be chosen as a favorite by those who attend and love live music
festivals,” says Jean Spivey, executive director of Old Settler’s Music Festival, which won Best
Festival That’s Not Austin City Limits or South By Southwest. “We look forward to seeing our
returning guests and newcomers for a Festival that promises ‘real music done right’ with the
local, national and international acts to prove it!”
Festival-goers that purchase the ticketless early-bird wristbands will enjoy as much as a 30
percent savings over at-the-gate ticket prices on three- and four-day wristbands with camping.
These wristbands include access to a special kick-off show Thursday night in the campground
and access to the camp-side events unique to Old Settler’s. No single tickets will be available at this
time.
Once available, Our Early Bird tickets will offer 3 options. The 4-day wristband with campground access (Thursday-Sunday), 3-day wristband with campground access (Friday-Sunday), 3-day no-camping wristband and the all-inclusive (party like a rock star) Platinum Pass.
Children 12 and younger will be admitted to the Festival free. Camping access will certainly sell
out, with about 50 percent of returning festival-goers pitching tents beside Onion Creek.
In 23 years, Old Settler’s Music Festival has delivered one of the best roots-music festival
experiences in the United States with amazing performances including by Joan Osborne, Iris
DeMent, Michelle Shocked, Bruce Hornsby, Yonder Mountain String Band, Patty Griffin,
Nickel Creek, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Bela Fleck, Rodney Crowell, Vassar Clements, Del McCoury, Natalie McMaster, Kasey Chambers, and local favorites Ray Wylie Hubbard, The
Belleville Outfit, Hayes Carll and The Gourds.
